This could actually happen.
All season long, Atlanta’s Julio Jones and Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown have been hanging around the pace needed to break the single-season receiving yards mark set in 2012 by Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson.
The chase for 1,964 yards – or 1,965 to break – saw both Brown and Jones at times well above and below the pace needed to knock Johnson out of the record book three years after he entered it.
Now, with six weeks left in the season it remains a possibility for both players.
