Dobbs was a fourth-round pick by the Steelers in the 2017 NFL Draft, but in two stints in Pittsburgh, he failed to start a game. He was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and after a season with Jacksonville, he was waived and claimed off waivers by the Steelers.
