Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford Both Looking To Join Exclusive Club Of No. 1 Overall QBs With Super Bowl Rings

There have been a number of great quarterbacks drafted with the first-overall pick over the course of NFL history. According to Pro Football Reference, there have been 38, at least among those listed as quarterbacks. Five of them—**Joe Namath, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, Troy Aikman, and Peyton Manning—are all in the Hall of Fame.

All of them have Super Bowl rings as starters, as well. Also joining them in the ‘first-overall quarterbacks with a Super Bowl ring as a starter’ club are Jim Plunkett, Eli Manning, and…that’s it. Just seven of them. But there will be an eighth added this year, as the 2021 Super Bowl will feature two former first-overall quarterbacks pitted against one another who have yet to win a championship.
