FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- When Rontez Miles was growing up in Braddock, Pennsylvania, an old, depressed steel town on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, he viewed sports as a way out. The Pittsburgh teams meant everything to him and his friends, so they decided one day in high school to pledge their allegiance with tattoos.
One friend went for a Pirates logo, another the Penguins. Miles opted for the iconic Steelers logo on his upper left arm.
Miles is catching some flak from teammates this week as the New York Jets prepare to face the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field, but he wears it proudly.
