Steelers guard Ethan Cooper said it’s not uncommon for some of his former Indiana University of Pennsylvania coaches to show up at the Steelers practice facility.
Usually, he said, they come to pick up a few tips and bring them back to IUP. But when a handful of staffers appeared at the Steelers’ OTA Wednesday afternoon, there was a familiar face on the field.
It was Cooper, signed as an undrafted free agent this season, making his case to earn a roster spot.
When he came off the field, Cooper mingled with his former coaches for a moment, no doubt relishing the experience.
