The powerful Steelers offense put its quarterback, wide receiver, halfback, fullback and three offensive linemen in the Pro Bowl last season.
The only position that did not attract many votes was tight end.
Vance McDonald would like to change that in 2018.
“It will be my breakthrough season,” McDonald promised. “For sure.”
He did not have that in 2017 after the Steelers acquired him from San Francisco in a trade a week before the regular season. At least, he did not have a breakthrough regular season. They don’t count that as such when you catch just 14 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown.
