Teryl Austin won’t be the eye in the sky this season. He’ll be the man on the ground. Speaking to reporters Thursday morning, Austin said he’ll move from the booth to the sideline to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, per this tweet from the PPG’s Ray Fittipaldo.
Teryl Austin will be on the sidelines and Brian Flores in the press box. Austin said he hasn’t been in the sidelines since 2013. He tried both in the preseason and decided he liked being around the players.

As Fittipaldo’s tweet notes, it’s been nearly a decade since Austin coached from the sideline.
