The Steelers improved to 6-2 on the season with a 20-15 victory against the Lions Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit. Here are some initial impressions from the game.
It was over when: The Steelers stopped the Lions on a fourth-and-seven play from the 8-yard line with two minutes left in the fourth quarter. It was the last in a series of great red zone stops for the Steelers defense that otherwise struggled to stop Detroit’s offense from moving the ball.
Heroes: Rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster shook off a dramatic week off the field to have the best game of his pro career on it, catching seven passes for 193 yards and a game-changing 97-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
