The story of Roosevelt Nix making his way to the NFL is certainly one for the movies. The former defensive lineman got a chance with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and made the most of it en route to becoming the team’s full back and eventual special teams captain.
Nix was known for big hits on kickoff units, and paving the way for James Conner, but after an injury plagued 2019 campaign the Steelers decided to go in a different direction and signed free agent Derek Watt. The acquisition meant the end of the road for Nix and his time with the Steelers.
