‘I Just Struck:’ George Pickens, Kenny Pickett Break Down 71-Yard Touchdown Pass

The Pittsburgh Steelers hit a major explosive play touchdown today with QB Kenny Pickett finding WR George Pickens for a 71-yard catch-and-run to give the Steelers a 16-11 lead with 6:05 left in the first half. It was one of the only signs of life from Pittsburgh’s offense, but it was a play that helped them secure a 26-22 win over the Cleveland Browns. After the game, Pickens, and Pickett discussed the play.

“I think they played [cover] two invert, left the middle of the field open, and that’s when I just struck.” We see it all the time in practice, but it’s just a greater feeling when it’s in the game,” Pickens said via Chris Adamski of TribLive.
