Wednesday, October 26: When the puck dropped in San Jose at 10:50 p.m. ET, Golden Knights forward Phil Kessel officially played his 990th consecutive game, becoming the National Hockey League's all-time leader in that category, passing retired defenseman Keith Yandle, who set the record last season when he passed Doug Jarvis.
