For rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson, it’s been a lot of rehabbing, watching, and waiting. Not the way he pictured the start to his NFL story, nursing an ankle injury for nearly two months as the Pittsburgh Steelers have started their season with Wilson in street clothes. But after a full practice Thursday, Wilson is ready to do more than cheer from the sidelines.
“I hope I get to play,” he said via the team’s Steelers Live Twitter account following Thursday’s practice. “That’s not up to me. But every day I come in this building, I just do what I can to get ready for the game.
