In an announcement on Tuesday by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, 25 semifinalists were selected for the 2021 induction class. Among those chosen are former Steelers Alan Faneca and Hines Ward.
Faneca has been a Hall of Fame finalist each of the last five years. Playing 13 years in the NFL, Faneca played his first 10 in Pittsburgh as the Steelers first round draft pick in the 1998 draft. In his time in Pittsburgh, Faneca was named to the Pro Bowl seven times and a first team All-Pro on six occasions.
