Depth is key for NFL teams that want to make a run in the playoffs. The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to have the depth of their front seven tested early. That’s the strength of their team, but they’ll be missing OLB Alex Highsmith for a few weeks due to injury. As a result, Nick Herbig will be starting, with DeMarvin Leal as the primary backup. Leal’s career hasn’t been stellar up to this point, but T.J. Watt seems excited to see what he can do.
“It’s not his first go-around,” Watt said Friday via the team’s YouTube channel.
