The Pittsburgh Steelers held their second official practice of the week ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a mixed bag of good news and bad news.
Let’s start with the good news.
Edge rusher Alex Highsmith logged a limited practice on Thursday — his first team practice since suffering an ankle injury back in Week 10. He started earlier in the week that he was hopeful of a potential return against the Bengals, but after logging a DNP on Wednesday, it seemed a little less likely.
On the downside, there were several players downgraded in their participation status with various injuries, including safety/special teams captain Damontae Kazee, who sat out with an illness.
