Echoing comments made last month by Pittsburgh Steelers’ Team President Art Rooney II, Steelers’ General Manager Omar Khan said Tuesday he wants QB Mitch Trubisky to remain on the roster in 2023.
Speaking to reporters, including our own Joe Clark, Khan said he has no desire to cut or trade Trubisky this offseason.
“Mitch has been great,” Khan said. “It’s been great having him around and I look forward to having him around here for a long time.”
Speaking to KDKA one month ago, Rooney said in strong terms that he expected Trubisky to remain with the team for 2023, despite some speculation that he could be a cap casualty.
