Former Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Byron Stingily signed a one-year free agent contract with the New York Giants on Monday and the details of that deal have now been made public by Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
As expected, Stingily signed a Minimum Salary Benefit contract with the Giants that includes a base salary of $760,000. The tackle can also earn an additional $20,000 bonus should he ultimately make the Giants Week 1 53-man roster out of training camp.
Being as Stingily never played a down with the Steelers after he was signed to the roster to take the spot of injured tackle Kelvin Beachum, there’s no guarantee that he’ll stick with the Giants this year out of training camp.
