“The devil went down to Georgia, he was lookin’ for a soul to steal
He was in a bind ’cause he was way behind
And he was willin’ to make a deal”
In so many ways, the intro verses of Charlie Daniels’ The Devil Went Down To Georgia can apply to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wild win over the Baltimore Ravens’ Sunday afternoon. Of course, it was a home game (and for the Steelers’ plane issues, they were likely extra thankful for it) but it was the Pittsburgh Steelers who went down to Georgia, got WR George Pickens, and in the bind of a stagnant offense, used him to win a big Week Five game.
