Someone asked Washington linebacker Will Compton what the Redskins could have done differently the other night to avoid getting roasted by the Steelers, and Compton nailed it:
“Everything,” he said.

Compton himself could not have done a lot more; he made tackles from one end of the Maryland lawn to the other, 13 in all, but too many were too far from line of scrimmage. Questioned post-game, the fourth-year inside backer out of Nebraska still seemed locked in some third-down nightmare dreamscape.
“Third down, hell I don’t know; they just whooped us on third down,” he said.
