Running the football certainly was not a strength of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense last season. However, Pittsburgh only had the services of their fullback, Roosevelt Nix, for three games in 2019, so his absence definitely didn’t help.
For next season, the Steelers will have to attempt to improve their rushing offense without Nix even being on their roster. The veteran fullback, who was released earlier this year, has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts according to ESPN’s Jordan Schultz.
With this decision, 2020 will be the first season in the NFL for Nix that won’t see him suit up in a black and gold uniform.
