The Steelers will face Jacksonville in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs after the Jaguars advanced with a 10-3 win against the Buffalo Bills Sunday in the wild-card round. Here are some observations from that game.
1. Buffalo’s downfield passing game was stymied — Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor had a tough time completing passes, finding receivers on just 17 of his 37 attempts. But even when he was on target, the gains didn’t go for much. Taylor averaged just 3.6 yards per attempt as Jacksonville kept almost everything underneath. This was especially true in the second half, when the Jaguars crept up on their coverages.
