Even as Cameron Heyward enters his age-35 season for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he still projects as one of their top contributors on the defensive side of the ball. He only played in 11 games last season, but he was still quite effective when he was on the field.
It was widely reported that Heyward missed the first two weeks of OTAs, before eventually showing up during week three. The thought was that he was looking for a contract extension, as 2024 represents the last year of his current deal.
Although he did end up showing up to OTAs, the Steelers aren’t out of the woods yet as far as the contract extension goes, as no deal has been reached.
