PITTSBURGH -- They feel it. It's almost time for liftoff.
After a wild 10 games defined by close calls, injuries and suspensions, the Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to maximize their offensive potential and fulfill the lofty goals set this preseason.
"Obviously if it’s going to happen, this is it," said wide receiver Markus Wheaton after Monday's practice in preparation for the Seahawks game Sunday in Seattle. "Coming off the bye, everyone’s healthy, no excuses. We have to put it together."
The Steelers eyed 30 points per game entering the year, and injuries to Ben Roethlisberger and Le'Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant's four-game suspension are all factors that held Pittsburgh back.
