Has Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool hit the proverbial rookie wall at any point this season? Outside of his production and snap counts dwindling in the last four or five games, there’s really been no evidence of Claypool hitting any sort of rookie wall. On Thursday, Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner was asked to comment on Claypool and if he thinks he’s hit any sort of rookie wall throughout his first NFL season.
“I think he has navigated it great,” Fichtner said of Claypool. “He is above the curve when it comes to physicalness and conditioning and mental.
