Six Steelers were on the list of nominees for the 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, including four-time finalist guard Alan Faneca.
Also on the list this year were safety Troy Polamalu, wide receiver Hines Ward, nose tackle Casey Hampton, linebacker James Farrior and placekicker Gary Anderson.
Polamalu, Ward, Hampton and Farrior all were members of the Steelers' Super Bowl teams in 2005 and 2008. Faneca played on the 2005 team.
This is the first year Polamalu was eligible for induction, while Ward has been nominated in the past, reaching the semifinals the past three years.
