Exclusive: Crosby works out on the ice today

CRANBERRY, Pa. -- Sidney Crosby's wrist surgery will keep him out of training camp, but it isn't keeping him off the ice.

Crosby was working out there at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex this morning, before the start of Day 3 of the Penguins' development camp.

The session clearly was intended to be low-profile, because the blinds that are lowered during the playoffs to prevent people from watching practices at ice level were drawn, and building security forced a reporter to leave the rink while Crosby was out there.

He is expected to miss at least the first few games of the regular season while recovering from his wrist surgery.
