The Steelers are one of the most storied and successful franchises in the history of the NFL. Beginning with unmatched success in the 1970s, Pittsburgh’s combination of three legendary head coaches have found a way to carry that all the way to the present.
Along the way, there have been many players who have heard their names called to the Hall of Fame. Most recently, four-time All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu was voted in on the first ballot alongside his head coach for several years, Bill Cowher. Longtime starting safety from the 70s and 80s, Donnie Shell, also made the cut this year.
