Eli Manning Advocated For Teams To Hire Mike Sullivan After Stint As Giants OC

New Pittsburgh Steelers play-caller Mike Sullivan has twice been an offensive coordinator in the NFL, with a stint leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-2013 and one with the New York Giants from 2016-2017. He was also a quarterbacks coach with the Giants in 2015, and during his time with New York, he made such a good impression on QB Eli Manning, that Manning went to bat for Sullivan when he was out of the league during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. During an appearance on TSN’s SportsCenter, NFL insider Mike Garafolo said that Manning would call teams and tell them to hire Sullivan.
