With the perfect break at the halfway point of the season, it’s time to note some high and low points of the Steelers and issue at least one opinion on their best performers:
Offensive MVP – Le’Veon Bell. Despite a slow start after not reporting until the Monday before the season opener, he has 760 yards rushing and an additional 219 on 35 receptions. He’s scored five touchdowns. That’s a pace for more than 1,500 yards rushing and 70 receptions, provided all his parts stay healthy.
Defensive MVP – Ryan Shazier has a wide team lead with 64 tackles, also leads with two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
