You can understand why Martavis Bryant is frustrated with his role on the Steelers, but requesting a trade so early in his return to them defies logic.
Perhaps he should have attacked a water cooler instead.
Bryant was supposed to be the final piece to lift the Steelers offense over the top, a game-breaker with experience. Instead, his playing time and passes thrown to him have diminished even as the Steelers struggle to score the kind of points that is their goal — 30 a game.
While Bryant denied on Monday that he requested a trade, either he or his representatives or some combination did just that two weeks ago, the Post-Gazette has confirmed.
