The NFL changes its rules like no other sport. Rules are added and removed or adjusted annually. March is the time they do it.
Mike Tomlin is one of eight men on the league’s competition committee, which considers rules changes brought to them or by them. They met last week to debate a bevy of rules proposals they may present for a vote of owners at the NFL meetings at the end of March in Orlando.
Here are three of those proposals, along with suggestions from us:
• Alter the language of what constitutes a pass reception
All kinds of language will be used to try to update this one, some of it even in English.
