Provided they keep Le’Veon Bell, the Steelers enter next season with two Pro Bowl backs, him and fullback Roosevelt Nix.
Should that be enough?
Nix rarely runs. He did so three times last season. In fact, no one else ran much other than Bell. Not counting the final regular season game against Cleveland in which he did not suit up, and eliminating runs by quarterbacks and wide receivers, Bell had 87 percent of the carries in the 15 games in which he played in the regular season.
It came to 321 of the 369 runs from scrimmage by a back in those 15 games.
