Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers selected nine players at eight different positions over the course of the 2019 NFL Draft, there are still a number of areas of the roster at which many are finding fault. By far the three positions most frequently cited are safety, tight end, and outside linebacker, even though they drafted players at the latter two.
The outside linebacker they drafted, however, is undersized, and the tight end is underexperienced. Tight end is often cited as of particular concern because of the lack of a proven number two player at the position and the history of injuries that dogs Vance McDonald at the top of the depth chart.
