The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t used to being in this situation, starting off the year 0-3, but here we are. As the team prepares for the Cincinnati Bengals, also 0-3, in Week 4 on Monday Night Football, something has taken place across the NFL which usually doesn’t impact the Steelers, but does now.
After three games the NFL’s waiver claim order is no longer reflective of a team’s 2018 performance, but of their current record in 2019.
This per Field Yates of ESPN:
So, what does this mean? If there is a player who is cut from a team, they are then put on the waiver wire for teams to claim them.
