When Steelers fans think about stability at one position they automatically think of center, where six players have manned the middle of the line in the past 41 years. Few bring up tight end, but the Steelers have enjoyed similar security there with only four players getting the majority of the snaps at the position the past 25 years.
Eric Green was one of the best tight ends in the game in his five years with the Steelers from 1990-94, making Pro Bowls in 1993 and 1994. He was followed by Mark Bruener, who was a mainstay for nine seasons.
