PITTSBURGH -- The offensive success of the Pittsburgh Steelers over the past four years has allowed the franchise to rebuild the defense, dedicating seven of their past eight first- and second-round picks to that side of the ball.
That might become eight of nine after Thursday night’s first round of the NFL draft, where the Steelers have targeted several linebackers with the 28th spot.
But with Ben Roethlisberger turning 36 last month, the team would be foolish not to replenish the offense, which might lose Le’Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant in 2019.
