PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers' signing of veteran running back Knile Davis raises a natural question: Does the team plan to bring back free agent DeAngelo Williams?
The team's offseason blueprint doesn't seem to be trending that way on the surface, but here's why you shouldn't count it out -- Williams is a Mike Tomlin favorite who ingratiated himself into the Steelers locker room and was productive when healthy, recording 17 regular-season touchdowns in two seasons.
Beyond that, the situation gets complicated. Williams is 33, missed seven games last year because of a knee injury and hasn't addressed whether he'll play another season.
