Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler will coach against Dick LeBeau Thursday night for the first time since LeBeau left the Steelers following the 2014 season. Butler is hoping he competes better with LeBeau on the football field than he does on the golf course.
“I play golf with him all the time,” Butler said. “We’ve played a bunch of rounds. I don’t think I’ve won but five of them.”
Butler was LeBeau’s linebackers coach for 12 seasons. The Steelers had such respect and regard for Butler that they asked LeBeau to step aside so Butler could become the coordinator.
