PITTSBURGH -- In October, DeAngelo Williams pulls double duty as a Pittsburgh Steelers running back and an advocate for breast cancer awareness.
Williams, who lost his mother, Sandra Hill, to the disease, has partnered with Steel City Cotton Works for the sale of "Pittsburgh is Stronger than Cancer" T-Shirts. All proceeds go to the DeAngelo Williams Foundation to help women get free mammograms.
Williams partnered with Steel City last year, and several teammates, including James Harrison, wore them after a game in October. In the past year, Williams' foundation has provided 53 mammograms to women in Pittsburgh, Memphis and Jonesboro, Arkansas, where his mother received treatment.
