The Pittsburgh Steelers signed running back Knile Davis to a one-year contract on Monday and as expected, it’s a minimum salary benefit deal that comes with a reduced salary cap charge that did not include a signing bonus, according to the latest NFLPA update.
Davis is scheduled to earn a base salary of $775,000 in 2017. Being as Davis is a player with four or more years of NFL experience and he was given the minimum salary for his accrued years in the league, his contract qualifies for the minimum salary benefit in the CBA.
