Most of the 55,921 in attendance Sunday at Heinz Field and the millions more watching on television likely viewed the 26-yard touchdown pass to Cobi Hamilton that ended the Steelers-Browns marathon as a merciful ending to a meaningless game. But for backup quarterback Landry Jones the game was filled with meaning, and the final play was a perfect ending to an imperfect game.
The Steelers rested their stars in this regular-season finale that had no bearing on their playoff seeding. They were locked into the No. 3 seed and a home playoff game this week before the game ever started.
