The Steelers seemingly can't stop making moves.
First came the trade to snag Devin Bush in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Steelers shipped their 2019 first-round pick (20th overall), their second-round pick (52nd overall) and 2020's third-round pick to the Broncos to complete the deal.
That marked a heavy investment — but there was plenty more to come. The 2019 season rolled around, and the Steelers traded Josh Dobbs to the Jaguars for a fifth-round pick in 2020. Then in a bigger, almost unheard-of move by the organization came this:
Steelers receive:
- Minkah Fitzpatrick
- 2020 fourth-round pick
- 2021 seventh-round pick
Steelers trade away:
- 2020 first-round pick
- 2020 fifth-round pick
- 2021 sixth-round pick
Fresh out of Miami, Fitzpatrick stepped in and made an immediate impact, registering a forced fumble, an interception, a quarterback hit and five tackles in the Steelers' 24-20 loss to the 49ers in Week 3.
