The NFL, in its endless, possibly quixotic battle to make “Thursday Night Football” not-terrible, may have stumbled on to something great: doubling down on “SkyCam.” Thanks, fog!
Less than a month after the remote-controlled, wire-suspended camera saved a Sunday night game that looked to be broadcast from the inside of a bong, NBC announced that it will use it as the primary angle for Steelers-Titans on Nov. 16 at Heinz Field.
“Thursday Night Football has always been about technical innovation and new technologies, and this production will fit perfectly with that,” executive producer Fred Gaudelli said in a release.
