Cam Sutton Says Rookie Tre Norwood Never Got ‘Wide-Eyed’ In NFL Debut

When the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense took to the field early in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills with their backs against the wall following a 75-yard kickoff return to open the game, heavy lifting was expected of the talented Steelers’ defense.

What wasn’t expected was seeing rookie seventh-round draft pick Tre Norwood on the field playing significant snaps right away. Such is life in the NFL for the Oklahoma product, who has quickly adapted to the NFL and has picked up the scheme and added responsibility rather seamlessly in the Steel City.

Defensive coordinator Keith Butler praised the rookie defensive back for his ability to learn quickly and handle a heavy workload right away coming from the Big 12.
