Cam Heyward, snubbed from Pro Bowl, earns All-Pro nod

Cam Heyward isn’t a Pro Bowler. He’s an All-Pro. Not a bad trade.

The defensive lineman, who leads the team in sacks with 12, is one of four Steelers on the Associated Press All-Pro team, announced Friday. The others: wide receiver Antonio Brown, right guard David DeCastro and running back Le’Veon Bell, who made it in the flex spot. No other franchise had more than two players on the roster.

Fifty media members who regularly cover the league vote on the roster, unlike the Pro Bowl; players, fans and coaches each control one-third of that vote.

Heyward was a surprise snub there, even with a strong group of AFC linemen.
