Cam Heyward listed as worst contract on the Steelers’ roster

Cam Heyward is one of the best defensive linemen of this century, and will likely have a spot in Canton once his career is over.

The Steelers’ first-round pick in 2011 is a three-time All-Pro and a six-time Pro Bowl selection. However, at age 35, and coming off the most games he’s missed in a season since 2016, his $22.4 million cap hit carries a lot more weight.

PFN’s Dallas Robinson seems to agree, and labeled Heyward as the worst contract on the Steelers’ roster.

“Cam Heyward is one of the NFL’s best players of the last decade, but the 2023 campaign wasn’t his most productive,” Robinson wrote.
