The Cleveland Browns will be without starting defensive end Olivier Vernon for the remainder of the 2020 NFL post season, and possibly beyond. According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Vernon will need season-ending surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in the Browns’ 24-22 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17.
Drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, Vernon just finished his ninth NFL season. After four years in Miami, Vernon spent the next three seasons with the New York Giants.
