Browns’ Joe Thomas Throws His Weight Behind Robert Griffin III

Not much has gone right for the Cleveland Browns this season, who are having arguably the worst year they ever have. They narrowly avoided a very imperfect season on Sunday when they won their first game of the season by the score of 20-17, which came in part courtesy of a field-goal block that earned the offending party special-teams player of the week honors.

While many will argue that things started to go wrong when they traded back from the number two spot in the draft, passing up the opportunity to draft quarterback Carson Wentz, the real bruises started in the season opener, when the quarterback they signed to start, Robert Griffin III, suffered a shoulder injury that landed him on injured reserve for most of the season.
