It appears as if the Steelers Week 2 opponent is adding a familiar face to take on the black and gold on Sunday at 1 PM. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Denver is signing former Steelers outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo who was on the New Orleans Saints practice squad.
Chickillo was released by the Steelers prior to the start of the 2020 NFL league. The move saved the Steelers $5 million towards the salary cap.
After signing a two-year, $8 million contract prior to the 2019 season, Chickillo had a disappointing year.
