Big Ben takes some 1st-team reps at practice

PITTSBURGH -- Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took some first-team reps during Monday's practice, a positive sign as the team prepares for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Roethlisberger, who underwent surgery to repair a torn left meniscus on Oct. 17, moved well in the pocket and threw with authority while running the no-huddle offense, right tackle Marcus Gilbert said.

"Ben looked really good," Gilbert said. "Ben is a competitor. Never count him out. We're optimistic where he stands right now. As far as him being healthy, 100 percent, that's where I want him to be.
